January Therapist of the Month
This month, we are celebrating therapist Jenny (Jennifer) Schultz for her caring personality and devotion to her patients.
Jenny is originally from Coffeyville, KS, but has lived in the Kansas City metro area for the lasts ten years. She and her husband Brandon have been married for four years.
She says, "We don't have any kids just yet but do have a cat named Elwood."
Outside of physical therapy, Jenny coaches competitive figure skating and teaches theater on ice. She also enjoys dancing, long distance running, kayaking, and helping her husband with his hockey program.
During her undergrad, Jenny injured her ankle while running. Her physical therapists helped her get back to all the things she loves; dancing, running, and competitive figure skating.
"I have always wanted to work in healthcare, but [the injury recovery] inspired me to go towards physical therapy," she says.
Jenny received her undergrad from the University of Kansas and obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Saint Mary.
When it comes to what she likes most about being a therapist, Jenny says she enjoys working with people and getting to know them as a person.
"I love helping people achieve their goals," she says.
Jenny is a certified pelvic floor specialist and also works with pediatrics.
